Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Republican Party today issued a strong and unequivocal condemnation of the latest attempt to assassinate the President of the United States, calling the act a direct threat to the nation’s stability and democratic institutions.
“This was not just an attack on one man — it was a direct assault on the Presidency, our government, and the stability of the United States of America,” said Matt Kiolbassa, Chairman of the Tuolumne County Republican Party. “We unequivocally and forcefully condemn this cowardly attempt to assassinate the President. Again. There is no place in our nation for political violence – none.”
The organization emphasized that acts of political violence, or any justification of such actions, undermine the very foundation of the American Republic.
“Those who carry out or excuse these acts stand in direct opposition to our Constitution and the rule of law,” Kiolbassa added. “They are the true threat to our democracy.”
The Tuolumne County Republican Party also expressed deep appreciation for the actions of law enforcement personnel who responded to the incident.
“We are deeply grateful for the swift, decisive, and courageous actions of our law enforcement officers, whose professionalism and bravery prevented an even greater tragedy,” Kiolbassa said.
The Party called for unity and clarity in rejecting violence in all forms.
“Now is not the time for silence or ambiguity. It is a time for absolute clarity: violence against our leaders, our institutions, or our fellow Americans must be rejected. Full stop,” Kiolbassa stated. “We must stand united, not divided, in defense of our country, our Constitution, and the rule of law.”
